Hi,

Do you have any tool that we can run and test on the PC that will tell if
the processor in the PC is VPro enabled and will give details of it?

Thanks.

Hi,

Intel VPro technology is not enabled on the processor, but on the chipset. And you have to have a processor that should be able to support this feature. Also, you have to enable AMT in the Bios to make use of that feature.

Here is a link that gives the details of motherboardsthat support AMT and the processors supported by these boards. So, if you know your CPU model, you can check if that is Vpro capable or not.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I have found the utility at
http://www.intel.com/support/processors/tools/vptu/sb/CS-023240.htm

We want to start exploring the AMT technolgy. I have gone through the link provided by you. It was really difficult to choose from so many combinations.
We have decided to go with
Intel Core2 Duo processor(E6550),
Intel Desktop Board DQ35JO

Please let me know whether above configuration will do.

Thanks,
Prakash.
