I didn't think any OEM's shipped a vPro system with AMT enabled, the normal model is that the enduser needs to provision (enable) AMT. Mainly for the reason you mention, so endusers can choose to enable AMT.Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by you want to disable AMT, can you currently use AMT? An HP 7900c is an AMT 5.0 machine I believe, so it should have Intel Management and Security Status program. If you bring up the Intel Management and Security Status program, and go into the Intel AMT tab, what shows up for the Status under Intel AMT State? Mainly I want to make sure what you are trying to accomplish.

Do you mean you want to disable the ability to provision AMT? That can be done, but generally only through the BIOS.
