Setting CORS policy in owt

While trying to use the updateroom action in REST API, getting the following error. 

has been blocked by CORS policy: Method PUT is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Methods in preflight response.

Where shall we set the CORS policy or is this due to any other reason?
