Optimizing System FFs and MLABS for Gzip Project Execution on Intel oneAPI

Hi,

I am currently working on running the gzip project on FPGA hardware within the Devcloud environment. Here is the link:

https://github.com/oneapi-src/oneAPI-samples/tree/master/DirectProgramming/C%2B%2BSYCL_FPGA/ReferenceDesigns/gzip

During the analysis of the project reports in the .prj folder, I observed that flip-flops (FFs) usage is significantly high, whereas the usage of MLABs and RAMs is minimal.

I am seeking to understand the reason behind this discrepancy and would appreciate guidance on how to optimize the project to utilize more MLABs and RAMs instead of heavily relying on FFs.

Any insights or recommendations on how to adjust the project settings or code to achieve this optimization would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance.
