Same error when generating IR from multiple models

Dear, I am unable to convert my custom models to IR. In all of them I get the same error.
They are trained with tensorflow 2.4.1
I tried with
faster_rcnn_inception_resnet_v2_640x640_coco17_tpu-8
ssd_mobilenet_v1_fpn_640x640_coco17_tpu-8
ssd_mobilenet_v2_fpnlite_640x640_coco17_tpu-8
faster_rcnn_resnet50_v1_640x640_coco17_tpu-8
faster_rcnn_resnet101_v1

Always setting the --transformations_config accordingly.

The error log I receive is the following:

Any idea what is happening ?
TIP: When I freeze the model in tensorflow 2, the process shows several warnings that say:

Skipping full serialization of Keras layer <object_detection.meta_architectures.ssd_meta_arch.SSDMetaArch object at 0x000001F13105E1C8>, because it is not built

Hi Diego_Bima,

Thanks for reaching out. These kinds of issues usually arise when an unsupported model is used. Since you are using a custom model, there might be some issue with the configuration file (faster_rcnn_support_api_v2.0.json). Some parts of the model may also change and causing the .json file to be incompatible. Anyway, you also tested with OpenVINO and got the same error and this might be happening because the frozen file is not completely built according to the warning that you get.

You can refer to these Freezing Custom Models to freeze your native model to convert them to IR using Model Optimizer.

Have a look at Convert TensorFlow *2 Models documentation for the supported model formats.

Plus, you also can check the TensorFlow 2 Keras Supported Operations for your model using netron. Some of the framework layers might not be supported and that’s can lead to error also.

Regards,

Aznie

Hi Aznie! Thanks for your answer, I will try what you tell me.
A query...  when you say:

"You can refer to these Freezing Custom Models to freeze your native model to convert them to IR using Model Optimizer."

refers to the freeze method of tensorflow 1 right? Doesn't it matter that I'm using Tensorflow 2?

Hi Diego_Bima,

I believe we can use the same method as it is from OpenVINO official documentation. Then, you can refer to Convert Tensorflow *2 Models for the conversion.

Aznie
