Up2 Board + Up AI Core, access to Myriad 2

Hi all,

 

according to a recent press release (https://www.arcweb.com/blog/intel-introduces-intel-ai-production-program-new-way-bring-artificial-intelligence-devices) the Myriad 2 will also be featured on an "Up AI Core" add-on card.

 

I would like to know what interfaces developers will have to access the Myriad 2 on that card. Personally I am most interested in offloading general computer vision and image processing tasks to the Myriad 2. I was a bit disappointed that that was not supported on the NCS (according to the thread here: https://ncsforum.movidius.com/discussion/comment/676/).

 

Can you provide any insight into whether general CV acceleration will be supported on the "Up AI Core" ?

@xtrawurst These new boards will be using the NCSDK, so unfortunately you may not be able to offload general computer vision and image processing tasks to the Myriad 2.
