@ai4things Glad you got it to work. How much memory did you set your VM to use to make it work? I'm sure other users may find this information useful. Thanks.

@vikhanna
I think, It is not a problem of CPU, memory or OS.
Error installing caffe.
And probably there are conflicting versions of libraries other than Caffe that have already been introduced.
It is clear that there is a problem with /opt/movidius/caffe/Makefile .
Since it is very time consuming to solve problems one by one, I think, the fastest solution is to introduce NCSDK in a slim Ubuntu environment.
I have encountered the same problem many times.
If you do not want to destroy the environment, we recommend building an environment with VM (ex. OracleVM Virtualbox).
If you intend to do your best…
git clone https://github.com/BVLC/caffe.git
You need to modify Makefile.config by yourself, paying attention to GPU presence, CUDA presence, PYTHON version, OpenCV version.
Also, it is necessary to modify the environment variables.
Finally, do the following.
make -j4
I hope it will be helpful for you.
