Hi openvino_for_mac_m4,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
For your information, OpenVINO™ Toolkit version 2024.1 supports macOS 12.6 and above and includes support for Apple Silicon chips such as M1 and M2. However, at this moment, Apple M4 is not officially listed under supported hardware for version 2024.1. For detailed information on OpenVINO™ Toolkit version 2024.1, you can refer to the System Requirements.
That said, we recommend trying OpenVINO™ Toolkit version 2024.2 or later, as it continues support for Apple Silicon (ARM64), and may offer better compatibility with newer chips like the M4. You can refer to the System Requirements for 2024.2 for more details.
You can install the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ Toolkit directly from the PyPI repository by specifying the version. For example:
pip install openvino==2024.2.0
Regards,
Faiz
