Point projection onto geometry

I noticed in your SIGGRAPH 2018 slides, in the "outlook" section there was mention of 'point projection onto geometry". This would be a very helpful feature, do you have any estimate as to when it might be available for testing?

I do not think that this feature will come this year likely next year.
