Hello
Historic:
We had 3 redondant license servers up and running. Last monday one of them rebooted and the restart auto or manual don't works.
- alterad: 11.18.2.0
- and Flexlm: 11.18.1.0
With this error message :

Since this is the second time I have encountered this problem,
I want to find the root cause (at least understand why I had to wait a long time to restart the alterad daemon) ?
How I send you private message for license file?
I share with you:
- /var/log/messages of gnx6053
- sceenshots during restart of triad license servers (client and server)
- OS on license servers Virtual Machine Redhat 7.9
- Quartus version used 22.4

Hi
Sorry for the long delay as I was out of office recently. My suggestion would be:
1) After VPN connection is established
2) Verify license server is running by using “lmutil lmstat –a –c <port>@<server> in BOTH server and client machine.
3) Ping license server via VPN or telnet <host>< port> to check the TCP connection is established
Please stop and restart the server. You need to allow the firewall access to the port number from both server and client machine.

Hi
We apologize for the difficulty. We are not sure why this happens as we can’t duplicate the error at our side. We will keep working on it, but this will take longer time to do the debug. We will post the solution here when available.
In the meantime, I will set this issue to closed-pending. This thread will be transitioned to community support. If you have a new question, feel free to open a new thread to get the support from Intel experts. Otherwise, the community users will continue to help you on this thread.
Thank you for your understanding and I hope you have a great day.
