Can a customer generate an encrypted file (.ekp) when using the Lite version of Quartus or with a 60-day temporary license that I generate for them?

I have a customer trying to create a .ekp file but when they open up the SOF Properties box the only option that shows up is Compression.

Hi,

No, You can not.

To generate encrypted file, you need to request for encryption feature license for Lite edition.

Please go to Intel FPGA Self Service License Center (https://fpgasupport.intel.com/Licensing/license/index.html) and the submit Contact Customer Service form (https://fpgasupport.intel.com/Licensing/license/contact.html) to request encryption feature license. In the Contact Customer Service form you need to provide your host id, NIC, number of licenses whether fixed or floating type.

please refer the below old thread for more details,

Thanks Vicky. When I searched on "encrypt license" on the forum the post you reference did not show up. And a search for the "intel forum encrypt license" also did not get me to link you provided. I'd say the search capabilities on the forum need to be improved so that I can find answers to the questions I am asking :-)
