I have tried for a while to get a new license for my Quartus Web Edition 5.0.
I have filled out the form as usual and it says license file is coming within 24 hours but nothing arrives. I have done this many times in the past.

Thanks

A license file isn't required for the web edition. Is there a reason why you need to use a 14-year-old version of the software?

Hi,
Prior to Quartus Web 8.1 requires license & that you can get it from Legacy License Generator tool but beginning with Quartus Q8.1 Web & future versions of Quartus Web & Lite editions don`t required license.
Please refer the below links & keep a backup first.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/support/support-resources/download/licensing/setup/lic-setup-q2webedition.html
just provide the NIC & it will ask for email address,
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/support/support-resources/download/licensing/lic-choose.html
As mentioned in above post, why don`t you use latest license free Quartus prime lite edition instead of this (Q5.0) old version,
http://fpgasoftware.intel.com/?edition=lite
please let me know if you have any different concern.
Regards,
Vicky

Hi Vicky,
Thanks for the reply.
This is for some old legacy FPGA projects that I have to recompile sometimes. I have a newer version of Quartus for my latest designs.
Newer software wants to change the format of the project files and I'm not sure they have the support for older devices.
I have updated the license many times in the past and I have always received the license file in my email.
This time, there is no email and I am a bit stuck.
Thanks
Gary

Hi Vicky,
I tried again to generate a license file and overnight 5 license emails came through!
I think they must have been stuck in the system somewhere but they all came though at once.
Software is licensed again.
Thanks for your help,
Gary
