Hello.
I'm currently working on a client project using Quartus Prime Standard for a Cyclone V SoC device.
I have experience successfully designing similar projects in the past, including full simulations with QuestaSim. However, after renewing my Quartus license recently, I've encountered a challenge.
Intel seems to have removed the VIP AXI3 license, which prevents me from simulating the HPS subsystem.
The following are missing now in my renewed license file:
################################################################################
# FEATURE START
# The following is a license file for the Mentor Graphics AXI3 Master BFM
# Number of seat licenses is 2
# License Expires 14-Mar-2024

The error I'm getting:

# ** ERROR: failed to get a license (mgcvipaeaxi) for 'axi'

I've tried contacting Intel support through their forums and a support ticket, but haven't received a response yet.
Does anyone have experience working around this limitation in Quartus Prime Standard?

Hello
Thanks for your update. Upon checking with Customer service and Marketing team, regrettably we no longer provide/shipping AXI3 BFMs with Quartus. The AXI3 BFMs can be purchased from Siemens directly.

We have not heard from you and It is not recommended to keep a Case idle too long without activities. I will now transition this thread to community support. If you have a new question, feel free to open a new thread to get the support from Intel experts. Otherwise, the community users will continue to help you on this thread. Thank you.

Hello.
Thank you for your response.
I recently contacted Siemens Support and learned that they discontinued support for the specific AXI BFM license I inquired about. Apparently, it was developed specifically for Intel and is no longer maintained. While Siemens offers a comprehensive bundle now, it lacks support for legacy features, rendering it unusable for my needs.
In light of this, I hope Intel or Altera can provide some guidance on how to continue developing products based on the Cyclone V SoC.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Sincerely,
Igor
