Hi Everyone,
I currently work at an academic institution in Canada that has students from all over the world who register and attend courses at said academic institution. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions we have had to move our courses online.
In the process, we were told by some of our software vendors that our license agreements did not allow for this type of usage and that their software was ok to be accessed via the VPN but not from outside of Canada. While others told us that their software was not allowed to be accessed via VPN at all and only in-person access was allowed.
Not being able to find a direct contact for this question I need to post it here, hoping for a response so we do not find ourselves in breach of contract.
