Modelsim-Altera editiob 10.1e (Quartus II, v14.0) not working

I installed Quartus II version 14.0 web edition for my university course. When I try to run Modelsim, I get a fatal license errormodelsim_license_error.PNG

Please help

Hi ,

This error occurs may be because of ModelSim-Altera Edition license daemon is out-of-date please try to check after installing latest license daemon using link below,

I would like to suggest, try to use latest Quartus tool(Quartus 18.1 lite is free).

Hello,

 

There are two files in the link given above, lic_daemon_win64.zip, Modelsim_Altera_daemon_win.zip. Which one should I install?

 

In the interim, I replaced the win32aloem folder in V14.0 with that in V18.0. Though it is working, I don't know if that is a good solution.

Install the Modelsim_Altera_daemon_win.zip & check.

Try to check after clearing cache & cookies of the browser also try with different browser.
