After following the  steps to get a license I get the following when trying to application:

Unable to checkout a license. Make sure your license file environment variable (e.g., LM_LICENSE_FILE)
is set correctly and then run 'lmutil lmdiag' to diagnose the problem.

When I run the lmutil lmdiag command I get the following:

lmutil - Copyright (c) 1989-2019 Flexera. All Rights Reserved.
FlexNet diagnostics on Fri 5/20/2022 15:33

-----------------------------------------------------
License file: C:\intelFPGA_lite\21.1\questa_fse\win64\082221_License.dat
-----------------------------------------------------

This message doesn't help in identifying the issue, can you provide a solution?

Why does setting up a free version of this application have to be so complex
