I believe that I tried running QuestaSim and got a Fatal License Error that says the following or something like that following: "Unable to checkout a license. Make sure your license file environment variable (e.g., LM_LICENSE_FILE) is set correctly and then run 'lmultil lmdiag' to diagnose the problem."
I was able to download a license file for Questa Simulator and put into Quartus Prime Lite Edition's License Setup the file path to the license file for Questa Simulator. What steps do I need to take? Where should the license file be saved?

AR_A_Intel,
Hi. I created an "LM_LICENSE_FILE" variable with a value of a file path to a license file. Afterwards, I power cycled my Windows laptop. Afterwards, I was able to run QuestaSim.
Let me know about whether you want me to do any actions.
Respectfully,
Akhil Jain

Hello
Welcome to INTEL forum. Kindly provide your Questa license.dat file for further checking.
1) Error message screen shot
2) Machine OS information
3) Quartus version used

I can try to help. I think that there were multiple Intel webpages' steps to follow that I used. I do not remember all the steps I did. I think that I had to create a license file and download it and then restart my computer. Also, as I wrote on this webpage, "I created an 'LM_LICENSE_FILE' variable with a value of a file path to a license file. Afterwards, I power cycled my Windows laptop. Afterwards, I was able to run QuestaSim."
See if any information on the webpage at the following link helps: https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-FPGA-Software-Installation/Intel-Starter-Edition-2021-2-requires-License/td-p/1280757. The webpage might be outdated.
Let me know what you do and whether you need additional help.
