I am attempting to use the SDRAM controller in Qsys for Quartus 14.0 so I need the Clock Signals for DE-series Board Peripherals component for the SDRAM clock. For previous versions of Quartus it was found in the University Program install but I have been unable to locate an install for Quartus 14.0 and I was wondering what I should use for the SDRAM clock in Qsys.

Which board? Quartus 14.0 only supports the latest DE-series boards ...
http://www.altera.com/education/univ/software/unv-software.html I posted an SDRAM controller example for the DE0-nano board in this thread: http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45927 Cheers, Dave- Mark as New

--- Quote Start --- The DE2-115. --- Quote End --- Ok, according to the link above 14.0 is supported for that board. The DE2-115 contains SDRAM. so procedure I used for the DE0-nano should be similar. Blindly run the script for the DE0-nano, and then open the Qsys system that gets generated. Look at the SDRAM controller configuration. Use that to get an idea how to configure the controller for use on your board. The Altera IP does not include an .sdc file, so use the one I created as a starting point. Cheers, Dave
