Major features of Intel Fortran for Windows 7.0 include:
* Processor Support: Advanced optimization features for the latest Intel
processors, including the Intel Pentium 4, Intel Xeon, and Intel
Itanium and Itanium 2 processors, to deliver great performance for your

* Compaq Visual Fortran* and Microsoft Visual Studio* Compatibility: The Intel
Fortran Compiler now provides strong compatibility features with Compaq Visual
Fortran to ease the porting of applications developed with Compaq Visual
Fortran. Features include: strong source compatibility, extended Fortran 95
compiler, integration with Microsoft debugger, .mod files for Win32* API

Does HP plan to discontinue CVF?

See here. When the combined technology product is released, HP will probably stop selling CVF 6.6 - HP won't offer any future versions of CVF, but version 6.6 continues to be sold and supported until then.
