Character array question

[Intel_C_Intel]

I want an array of characters strings.
Each string is varaiable in length.

Can I do this in CVF?

The following statement gives an error.

character*(*) point(10)

Is there an other way to do this?

Fortran doesn't have the feature you want, but there is an appendix to the standard containing a module called ISO_VARYING_STRINGS that provides this functionality. CVF supplies it under SAMPLESISOVAR.
