Compiler 8.1 under Suse9.1 on AMD64.

We are considering installing:

Intel C++ Compiler 8.1 and

Intel Fortran Compiler 8.1 on a AMD64 Beowulf cluster running under Suse 9.1.

Please can you tell me if this:

- install OK

- build 64 bit binaries making use of the 64 bit extension under AMD64

- has it been shown to run MPI and PVM code under these platforms?

- are there known Suse installation problems?

I don't know about MPI and PVM specifically, but we do support SUSE 9.1. You will need to download our compiler for Intel EM64T from Intel Premier Support - look for the kit with a file name starting with l_cce and l_fce. Use the -xW switch when compiling for AMD64.
