FORTRAN 2003 Roadmap

It would be helpful to have a roadmap to complete implementation of Fortran 2003 in Intel Visual Fortran. We are starting some long-term projects and the OOP features of F2003 (eg CLASS) are very interesting. A general idea of when those features will be available helps us convince our management to use Fortran.

A roadmap for features pursued in other discussion threads (Intellisense and Source Browsing) would be nice as well.

Sorry, we don't do roadmaps like this in public. You can look at our 11.0 beta version to see what's been added for 11.0 (coming out next month.) We've got more features, including the OO stuff, under active development. As with other vendors, parameterized derived types and user-defined I/O will be among the last things done.

We are committed to implementing all of Fortran 2003. We have not made any commitments regarding the VS features you mention.

Steve,

Thanks for the reply. We are going to acquire new IVF versions and I'll make sure we get the V11 beta to see if we want that one.

Thanks again.
