File extension overwrite at install

On future releases can you please give the option to NOT have the installer change default actions for file extensions. Every time I install an update I have to spend an hour fixing my file extension operations.

Are you asking about a Windows product by any chance? I am not aware that Linux or MacOS has this concept. Which file extensions are at issue?
