With the DEBUG issues sesolved?

There have been unresolved debug VS integration issues  going back 10 years or more. IFX and  all the new stuff  have  created a raft of new issues. There has been quite a few improvements in the last few releases but there is clearly some distance to go. Maybe  by 2030....

Your expectation for Fortran is high. The language evolves slowly and that is the beauty, I can run code from the last 1960's with limited changes, but the methods of debugging whilst improving are not perfect and are never going to be as the code developers play catchup with the wish list for Fortran. 

From long experience you use what you have and be thankful it is as fast as you can get.  But it is not perfect.
