I want to see if I need to uprade my installed version, but I can't see where to find which version I have already installed. Help About does not give the version number (for Fortran).

If you open up an ifort build environment window from the intel software tools selection on the start menu, the version appears in the window.

I have an active feature request submitted to put this information in Help..About in Visual Studio.

The method Tim suggests is easy enough - he refers to Start..Programs..Intel Software Development Tools..Intel Fortran Compiler 9.0..Build Environment for IA-32 Applications. The first line will list the version number.

An alternative is to open the file C:Program FilesIntelCompilerFortran9.0DocsNotesfsupport.txt and read the "package ID" there.
