Steve,
sorry that I keep asking this question: Do I need to uninstall v8.1.025 before I install v8.1.029, or can the installation routine handle a previous installtion by now? I remember you taking about an update install a while ago, but I do not remember whether it was ever implemented.
Also, there is no readme listed with the new compiler version in the premier download section. Could you post a link for this here?
Thanks,
Haje

A complete uninstall is required.
A readme file with changes is available under downloads (just not under "what's new").

Thanks for your advice. I found the readme and I guess I still have to do the uninstall. I am not sure what is so difficult about implementing an update install though?

It is more difficult than you might think, especially when using Windows Installer, but the next major release will no longer require an uninstall when you install a new version.

I will also note that the release notes as well as the "install page" that comes up when you run the installer gives all the information you need about installing.

Steve,
ok, I take your work for it! It will be worth renewing my license for this feature alone. :-)
