I'm about to get a replacement machine setup.

Is MSVS2017 sufficiently stable to get that on my machine, or should I stick with MSVS2015?

Thanks

I doubt it will make any difference, as long as your ifort is recent enough to work with both.  When I gave up on my crashed Win10, I restored only 2017.

I find VS2017 to be fine.

David:

I have tried all the combinations recently as we search for the best setup for some NUCs to be placed in the field. Most stable is recent IFORT and VS2017.  Do not use the new preview with Fortran. VS2015 gives me some interesting issues when I now try it. So I stopped.
