New Log In Total Points vs Status Points

In attempts to resolve a licensing issue (other thread on this forum), it came to my attention (today) that there is a new Log In page. Well.. ok... but then I received an email this morning congratulating me on attaining a Green Belt status. Which is strange because I have about 140,000 points.

I normally log into the forum using jimdempseyatthecove however for licensing purposed I use Jim Dempsey and different email address. While I do not particularly care about the loss of a few points that were accredited to a different account due to my inattentiveness, what does concern me is should someone wish to perform a check on my qualifications by looking up contributions (and points) using my name that they will get the wrong account and think I am misrepresenting myself. Is there a way to cross-link the accounts such that each shows the sum total of both (or all such linked accounts). I am quite sure I am not the only one experiencing this.

While looking at my Dashboard I notice that there are now two points tallies: Status Points 22895 and Total Points 139710

What is the distinction of Status Points?

Jim, you'd be better off emailing Kathy Farrell about such things. I don't know that any of us, myself included, know the mysterious details of points. I was told at some point that status points have a limited lifetime, so they are sort of an indication of recent (last year?) volume, where total points are cumulative.
