Not able to find the Intel Fortran Compiler for 'x64' installation

I have Visual Studio 2008 installed with the x64 Component and Tools installed as well. After installing Intel Fortran Compiler 64 version 11.1, and start up Visual Studio 2008 I tried to compile fortran code in x64 and a popup showed up saying "Intel Visual Fortran Compiler for 'x64' not installed."

Then I go to Tools > Options > Intel Visual Fortran > Compilers, I only see the platform Win32, and no x64 listed.

I have already tried to repair, uninstall, reinstall, etc. both VS2008 and Intel Fortran Compiler but nothing seems to fix this problem. Any ideas?

It could be that you don't have the Intel 64 compiler installed. I suggest downloading and installing the latest combined package, the one with _novsshell.exe at the end of its name.
