Question from a linux&IFC noob:
I'm trying to install IFC on a linux-box with Slackware 9.1. After starting install.sh I get the message:
RPM is not installed or not functioning correctly.
Well I think it is and it does. Using only "rpm" as command it displays the Usage options. I read somewhere that I should add --force to the rpm command in install.sh. Can this solve my problem? And if so, can someone tell me in which line I should do this? The rpm command occurs several times. in install.sh.
thanks in advance

Sorry about bumping this topic but is there nobody out there who can help me? Not even @Intel?
Thx,

Slackware is not one of the distributions we claim support for, and we don't even test it as far as I know. You may want to try the tip given in the release notes (and in the FAQ section of our support web site) on installing not as root - I think this bypasses RPM as well.
Another thought - some older versions of RPM have troubles like this, see if there's an updated binutils package you can install.
