RS232 communication

I want to receive input from a RS232 port and then from the input draw things on the screen.
I have no idea how to communicate with a RS232 port.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

David

You can use CVF's SPORT routines or Windows API routines to manage RS232 communication. See this previous post for more information.

The URL in my previous post seems to have gotten some blanks imbedded in it. Just in case it doesn't work, the URL is
http://softwareforums.intel.com/ids/board/message?board.id=5&message.id=3778
.

I don't know what's wrong, but the URL is still not working.

Search this forum for the keyword SPORT, and you'll find the information you want.

Something is clearly messed up in the forum software - I'll report it.
