Dear Intel Community Team,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Kosar Khajeh, and I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Florian Müller-Plathe Group at TU Darmstadt. Together with Dr. Eva Charvati, I am organizing a CECAM-Lorentz Workshop on Sustainable Scientific Computing, scheduled for 2026 at the Lorentz Center in Leiden, Netherlands. Our proposal has been shortlisted for this prestigious event.
The workshop focuses on addressing sustainability challenges in scientific computing, including energy-efficient software design, algorithm optimization, and hardware innovation. Given Intel’s leadership in advanced hardware technologies and Fortran’s role in high-performance scientific computing, I believe your network could greatly help in identifying key experts who might collaborate or participate in the workshop.
Specifically, I would appreciate your assistance in:
Fortran Language Developers: Could you help connect me with individuals or teams actively contributing to Fortran language development who might provide insights into optimizing the language for energy-efficient computation?
Intel Hardware Experts: Could you introduce me to someone within Intel’s European division specializing in HPC hardware, sustainability practices, or software-hardware integration?
For more details about the workshop, please refer to the official announcement: CECAM-Lorentz Workshop Announcement.
Additionally, I have created a Google site with further information and confirmed participants: Workshop Information.
This workshop is an excellent opportunity to address critical topics in scientific computing while fostering collaboration between experts in software and hardware domains. I would be happy to provide more details or discuss potential contributions from Intel and Fortran-related experts.
Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Kosar Khajeh
