The problem about parameter transmission between uel and umat

Hi everyone, I am new guy to this community. I am planning to use the UEL for implementing the phase field model. The UEL has the drawback that integration point variables cannot be visualized in Abaqus/Viewer, through module kvisual, the result of UEL can be transferred from UEL to UMAT by statev or UserVar. I have written many important subfunctions in other UMAT, now I want to add those sub function into the UMAT of UEL, and return the calculation result to UEL through UserVar,  May I ask if this is feasible? Can UserVar only be used to transfer data from uel to umat?
