Uninstalling older updates

When trying to uninstall older updates of the 11.1 Fortran compiler (e.g. the 11.1.038 version, update 1) the process ends with the error message >Error While installing package ""<. Could be the files of the old version removed manually?

Yes - I'd first suggest the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Sorry, but the Utility ends with the message: "Runtime error '-2147024882 (8007000e)': System Error &H80004005 (-2147467259). Unspecified Error

The particular line with the cleaned item disappears from the list of the utility combo-box, but physically all the file survive.

For the common Windows utility the individual updates are still visible, the error remains unchanged.

Best regards.
