Upgrading from an oldie

Our company's last experience with Fortran was CVF 6.6, circa 2001. We are now contemplating IVF 11.

It's easy to find a list of what's new in this version, but it seems to be basically "what's new since v.10" (as it should be).

Can someone give me a brief rundown on what's new since CVF 6.6? I know that visual studio has changed--that's OK. I also believe that some of the Fortran 2003 is now included--does this mean OOP? Is SciGraph still included? What else?

Thanks for anyone's comments.

I recommend starting with our Migrating from CVF article. This tells you a lot of what you ask. IVF 11 has a lot of Fortran 2003 support but not all the OOP features. SciGraph is still included.

If after reading the article you have further questions, ask here.
