Why has Intel suddenly switched me to the Germa language website?

Achtung!

I am in the UK, but for some reason my pinned link to this community site opened with German as the language. I changed it back for a session, but when I later returned to start another session, it was back to German!

Gott in Himmel!

??

Warum?

Lieber Herr Reichardtz,

Consider yourself somewhat lucky -- it could have been Yiddish, instead.

I have experienced similar issues in the recent past at this site; in my case the languages were Russian and Chinese, and the aberrations lasted only a few hours.

Apparently, web sites can come under the sway of Foreign Speech Syndrome .

@mecej4 - this is a very good saying, but somewhat obscure for someone who has not seen all of Donald Sutherland's movies from the 1970's , the young lady in that show was a very good actor.
