compile-time error in UNIX

I have some code that will compile and run with no problems in VMS, but when I use the same compiler in UNIX, i get a compile time error. How can I fix this, does it have something to do with the $ that VMS likes?

First of all, this forum is not for Compaq Fortran for VMS or UNIX - there is not a forum for those products. It is possible you meant some other UNIX.

Second, you didn't say what the error was nor what the source looked like, so it's rather difficult to give you advice.
