ifort doesn't recognize new license file

hello,

I installed Intel Fortran Compiler Professional for applications running on Intel 64, Version 11.0 Build 20090131 Package ID: m_cprof_p_11.0.059 as evaluation copy which expired today.
I'm working on an iMac (Mac OSX 10.5.6, 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo)
I got a license file from my university which I tried to use now. I copied it to /Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/Intel/Licenses/ gave it the same read/write/execute rights like the evaluation license file, restarted my terminal. But somehow it is not working. I keep getting the following error:
ifort: error #10052: could not checkout FLEXlm license

I'd very much appreciate any help with this matter!
thx!
