I am trying to install the compiler on a Toshiba Portege R600 with Windows 7 RTM 64bit and the setup remains in loop during the check of the licence file (chklic.exe).
Ending the task via Task Manager the setup is able to go on but ONLY in trial mode. What happens?
I tried to switch off the UAC but the result is the same.
The IVF 10.1.030 runs fine.

I am using also a Panasonic CF-52 with the same version of Windows and all is perfect.

I suggest you register the serial number at the Intel Registration Center, have it email you a license file, and install using the license file. It may be that something is blocking the install from contacting the registration service.

Thanks Steve.
This is exactly the procedure I use. And, duringmy tests, I have also requested, and received, a new .lic file.
Probably the problem is due to FLEXlm system and the program that loops is the chklic.exec.

Are you saying it does this even when you provide a license file?

Yes. The setup enter in a loop on the first map and says: "Reading existing licenses ..."

At this pointif you stops the processs chklic.exe for 5 times the setup continues but permit only the choice uf the trial month.

This is interesting - we know of an issue with this exact symptom, but it should not be affecting your notebook. It is fixed in the next update which is supposed to be out "real soon now".

Would you please do me the favor of downloading and running the Intel CPU IProcessor Identification Utility and tell me what it says on the "CPUID Data" page? You can attach a screen shot or just tell me the text. It's the "Processor Classification" section I am most interested in.

Glad to hear it. Incidentally, we found that the 11.1 IMSL installer has the same issue. We are rebuilding that and should have it available next week. If you already have IMSL installed, you can ignore this.
