Hello!

I had a problem using ABAQUS 6.5-2 with ifort on my AMD64 suse 9.2 computer. It turned out that i used a wrong compiler, namely "Intel Fortran Compiler for 32-bit applications, Version 8.1", there was a library missmatch. It was a noncommercial version.
Does anyone now if it is possible to update it or get a noncommercial 64-bit Fortran compiler?

regards,

Rainer

answered several times already on this forum:
Use your account on premier.intel.com to download the current l_fce version of ifort.
I still find a lack of adequate public FAQs on how the x86-64 OS works with both gnu and proprietary software installations.
ifort 9.0 should avoid this particular problem to some extent. It will install both 32- and 64-bit compilers from one huge tar file.
