ps-> if you're going to GDC, stop by the Intel booth to see a demo of the new release
I've had the chance to play around with GPA 4.0. Unfortunately i must admit it got less useful to me because it depends even more on DirectX. The samples i've inspected were quite interesting. But i was looking forward to use it with my own application.
I wasn't able to because i do not have a D3D context present in my application and thus no GPA HUD is shown or data collected.
As far as i can remember GPA 3.x was able to collect CPU metrics for non DX applications but GPA 4.0 is not.
I sure hope OpenGL support will be available in a future release.
