OpenCL Custom Board porting with Quartus Prime 22.4

Hello, I am porting our already ported Stratix 10 GX custom board from 20.4 to 22.4 (the last offical release for OpenCL for FPGA). Everything was ok except I am receiving "Error board.xml: NO_TOP_LEVEL_BOARD_XML_NODE" in platform designer in opening phase which seems has no adverse effect; I generate HDL and then compile through "aoc" with no error. However, I wonder if some action is to be taken or not. I couldn't find any explanation so far. Thank you for your time Regards Bulent CANDAN

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

Related to the problem I have found that 22.4 has an added entry "board" to "System Info" tab in Platform Designer for component instantiation which is listed as "missing items".  It is listed with "default" value but seems it is not the expected value and when Platform Designer opens a qsys file it reports "Error board.xml: NO_TOP_LEVEL_BOARD_XML_NODE" error on the Open System dialog window.

As I said aoc compilation completes without any errors.

Is this sound OK to you.

Thank you for your time

Regards

Hi,

Thank you gor your time and follow up.

I am getting this error from System Designer when I want to develop the BSP.  I simply ignore it right now. I have not experienced such or similar error from aoc.
