Does IPP or UMC Library support un-intel CPU?

Hi there,
1) I wonder know whether IPP or UMC library can support un-intel cpu.
2) If yes, what do I need to attention or limitations when I develop the application with IPP/UMC.

1. I think it will work on any x86 processor.

2. Maybe not as fast as on a Intel CPU because it's optimized for Intel architectures.

I did some tests recently and there is definitively a better performance on Intel processor but the UMC samples do work reasonably on other x86 processors.
