A careful reading of paragraph 3E allows for an interpretation that Intel is shipping a product (the IPP)that uses IP that they do not own, and that a user of the IPP libraries isresponsible for obtaining permissions and licenses for such IP. However, it does NOT indicate what that IP is, so an end user is unsure of what permissions need to be obtained. Further, paragraph 3D indicates that if such IP is shipped by Intel as part of the IPP, and a user of the IPP is sued by a 3rd party for using that IP, the end-user will indemnify Intel against such a suit. This seems outrageous, but that is what the license indicates. Is there someone at Intel who understands and speaks with authority that can clear up these issues? Has anyone else had discussions with Intel that clarify these issues?
