I havent' seen any ways to record audio directly from the PC, such as when a DVD is playing in VLC Player. What's the best way to capture audio internally? I don't see any options except the Realtek Microphone Array. I'm trying to do this in Audacity. I have Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

If you ask how to copy files from your Audio CD, the process is called "Rip CD" and can be done with Windows media Player.

That's totally not my question. I'm talking about 'capturing' any audio that's playing in the PC, such as when a DVD is playing, or a video online, a streaming audio source, etc. NOT from a CD.

Good document on how to do that, but unfortunately there are no other options recording except the microphone array. I've checked for disabled features, etc but nothing else is available. When using Audacity I can select the 'loopback' method through WASAPI, however it also doesn't work. Also tried uninstalling/reinstalling Realtek audio drivers, but no other recording options are available. I might try my external USB sound device and give that a try.
