Hello, I purchased Intel optane 32gb and a PCIe m.2 ssd adapter. Installed in HP Z820 Workstation. While try to install Intel Optane software in Windows 10 Pro 64bit It giving me error message. Thanks.

Your processor is E5 2670. Do you see it in the list you provided? No, you do not.

OPTANE is not supported on your system.

 

Return the Optane to the seller for a refund.

What error message?

Do you know for certain that your device supports Optane?

 

Download, run, and attach the results of this utility:

Then, an Intel support engineer can assist you.

Error Message : Intel Optane memory requires motherboard with a supported Intel 200 Series Chipset(or later) to be enabled.

 

I ran the Intel System Support Utility, save and attached the information file herewith.

 

I would appreciate help to resolve the issue.

Well, there you have it. You have a X79 chipset, which is too old and does not support Optane. Does HP provide any documentation about their motherboard to the contrary?

 

And, you need a 7th gen processor or later:

Yes, but did you look at the link I provided? Show me, specifically, where it says your z820 is supported.

And, your processor is from 2012 - long before the 7th gen processors required to support Optane.

Any driver like Intel RST will not able to support for this ?

 

Well i do not think so, there must be a option to use it.

I am saying you need the proper processor and chipset, which you do not have.
