Hello,
I've tried to install a M10 16GB Optane Memory with my M.2 Sata SSD. The Storage tool detects both devices. The problem is my Intel Pentium G5420 processor, which is not accepted by the software. Besides that, the product pages claims, that the processor is capable for intel optane acceleration.
I am runnig this CPU with a Gigabyte B360m DS3 H (BIOS Version F17). The installation of the optane module worked with my i3 8300 in this MB just fine.
Is there any possible solution for this problem because i bought this CPU specificly with this function in mind. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello Bruce,
thanks for your fast answer. I updated my ME drivers and the Sata driver to version 17.11.0.1000.1. Now the Intel CPU is detected correctly and the optane drive is enabled.
Best regards

What does your gigabyte board bios have for sata mode options?

Hello,
the SATA mode is set to RST controlled. I've made no changes since the i3 8300 was installed and this CPU worked fine.
Best regards

Hello, Haasler.
Good day,
Please let me know the following:
1. Did you reinstall the OS or performed any BIOS changes after swapping the processor?
2. Did you check the steps and necessary BIOS adjustments provided by Gigabyte to enable Optane acceleration on their platform?
- Chapter 3, Page 39, Appendix: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_b360m-ds3h_1001_e.pdf?v=939499e8d66532c594fa6a65e8883c35
3. What Intel RST driver version are you using? is it one provided by Gigabyte or ist it a generic one form our site?
- Gigabyte downloads for this board: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B360M-DS3H-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver-sataraidahci
4. Can you try with the previous Optane Interface instead of the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management?
I will follow up on April 12th in case additional time is required.
Best regards,
Bruce C.
