My windows 10 basic crashed in my Lenovo 330s (with 16 gb optane Mem), i couldn't reinstall my backup old windows, so I installed windows 10 pro, having the optane memory removed, so what can I do now to use the optane memory?

  1. Reinstall the Optane Module.
  2. Since it is enabled to the previous Windows installation you need disable the old ennoblement first:
  3. Open Command Prompt as Administrator, type diskpart and press Enter. The diskpart prompt will open.
  4. From the diskpart prompt, type list disk and press Enter. A list of disks will appear in a text format. You will return to the diskpart prompt.
  5. From the diskpart prompt you will need to select a disk disk number (for instance, if the Optane Memory 16GB + drive is Disk 1, you would type select disk 1) and press EnterDiskpart Erase/Clean will permanently erase/destroy all data on the selected drive. Please be certain that you are erasing the correct disk.
  6. From the diskpart prompt, type clean and press Enter. The Optane Memory is now erased and the old enablement is not active any more.
  7. Close out of the Command Prompt.
  8. Now install Optane acceleration software and follow your desktop manual to accelerate your drive again. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/29095/Intel-Optane-Memory-User-Interface-and-Driver-for-System-Acceleration?httpDown=https%3A%2F%2Fdownloadmirror.intel.com%2F29095%2Feng%2FSetupOptaneMemory.exe
  9. The drive you want to accelerate needs to have at least 5MB of free space available at the end of the drive. Intel Optane memory needs this space to store configuration information to successfully pair the drive with the memory module.  Please follow the Optane Installation Guide: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/memory-and-storage/optane-memory/intel-optane-memory-user-installation.pdf
