Optane memory during MB BIOS update

Just want to know if I should disable optane acceleration if I plan on updating/flashing a newer version of BIOS to my motherboard (ASUS TUF B360M-PLUS) or am I okay to leave it enabled with no harm done. I have the 32GB Intel Optane Mem installed and enabled.

Thank you in advance

I have done the bios update both ways. But, I more often disable optane before I update the bios, then re-enable it afterwards. I also do the same before a backup of the HDD.
