I just bought a new Alienware computer that included Optane and has an SSD for the boot drive and a regular hard drive for storage. As I understand it, I cannot use the Optane cache with the 2T hard drive, but must use it with the SSD (which seems fairly pointless given that the SSD is already about as fast as it will get. Obviously the Optane should be used with the regular hard drive. Can't I switch it to that drive? Thank you.
